This story is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places, businesses, events or incidents are completely based on my imagination. Any resemblance to the actual person or event is purely coincidental.

English is not my first language, so this book may contain some grammatical errors despite my best efforts to minimize them. I hope you will be patient with me as I continue to learn and improve.

Before you begin reading, there are a few things I would like to clarify.

This story contains two protagonists who are deeply flawed individuals. Both the FMC and MMC are red flags in their own ways. They are not kind to each other, they do not trust each other, and they are fully capable of hurting one another. In fact, there are moments when they would gladly take each other's life if given the chance.

If you are expecting an instant romance, immediate forgiveness, or two people who become perfect for each other from the very beginning, then this story may not be for you.

Their journey is complicated, messy, and often uncomfortable.

Trigger Warnings

This book contains themes that may be disturbing to some readers, including:

• Violence

• Murder and death

• Crime and organized crime

• References to abuse (not between the main leads)

• Mental health struggles

• Trauma

• Manipulation and morally grey characters

• Graphic and emotionally intense situations

Reader discretion is advised.

Regarding the Mafia Theme

This story revolves around the world of organized crime and a mafia leader. However, the writer does not support, glorify, romanticize, or encourage criminal activities in any form.

The mafia is not portrayed as something admirable, nor is the male lead intended to be viewed as a good person simply because he is the protagonist. Being the main character does not make him morally right.

The characters in this story make questionable, dangerous, and often wrong choices. Their actions should not be taken as examples to follow.

A Small Request

As a reader, you have every right to form opinions about this book and its characters. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

However, I kindly ask that you do not compare this book to other books or to your favorite authors. Every writer has their own style, vision, and way of telling a story, and comparisons often take away from that individuality.

Please also remember that not every story is written to suit every reader. If this book is not to your taste, that is completely fine.

What I do ask is that criticism remain respectful. Hateful comments, personal attacks, or deliberately disrespectful remarks will not be entertained.

And finally—

Please do not judge this book until you have read at least the first ten chapters.

Thank you for giving my story a chance.

Happy Reading.
